Our Mosman Community and being local
Do you love your local community at Mosman? Join us and build a great community together. If you are a local you have an important role to play. If you are a small business you also have a role to play. If you want to be a part of the local community then you have a role to play.
We want to introduce you to a term called in our community called localism. Localism is grounded in the belief that relationships matter, most. The way we interact with where we live — who we do business with — how we connect with people, other life, the land — all of it matters. Being a local and getting to know other locals is key to how this community will continue to exist and thrive over the long term.
We also believe that localism starts with you.
Localism can start with the simple commitment to “buy local” — keeping your dollars where your heart lives. It also means supporting your community to identify, launch and grow the businesses that are needed to serve your community.

Society is fragmented in may ways, we just need to look at what is happening in the big end of town with governments and corporations. We have a chance to change this by starting with each other and in our local community here at Mosman. Our community exists and thrives when we give and take from each other as locals. Our local businesses are here to provide us with a service so we should return the favour with our patronage.
Our patronage is rewarded with great service, consistency, longevity and other rewards. What we would like is to build a strong healthy equitable and sustainable local community of patrons and business owners living happily. A win win for both patrons and local business Join us in this movement and you will be pleasantly and happily rewarded!
We want to improve social cohesion in our community. Joining us will demonstrate our commitment in building this community together.

The Business Alliance for Local Living Economies advocates for a framework to create a healthy, equitable community.
“Building healthy, equitable local economies isn’t the work of a single leader or organization: it requires local ecosystems of individuals and institutions to come together, understand their relationships to each other, and choose to collaborate.”
